This series is a reflection on paintings from artists of the Art History Canon that have been influential in my practice (as indicated in the title, when specific). Incorporating characteristic movement and drama, this work employs mashed memory while exploring notions such as excess, embellishment, adornment, décor, energy and stillness and represents a call and answer, through time and memory, with these artists.
