NWW (New Work Wednesday)-fireplace paintings

Here’s some “medium sized” paintings – bigger than the “medium size” previously posted, but smaller than the large paintings – ideal for a fireplace! These were made over a period of time (not just a week, folks!) and are gathered together here so you can see them before they are loaded onto the main website. I find this size hardest to paint but, like most things, once I’m in the groove (usually after a poor start) I can manage them in a sequence.

Why change sizes and scales of paintings? I’m creative. I like to challenge myself and am usually delighted by the unexpected discoveries that such a practice affords.

Do you think they’d go well over a fireplace?
